A little rain brings lots of green!

After the rain this past weekend, we are reaping the benefits here at Grace Vineyards. The landscape has grown overnight into a beautiful refreshed baby green color scheme. Our grape vines are showing their leaves and some of our flowers are finally showing their true colors. What wonderful touches of spring we are enjoying! We encourage those of you looking for a place to get married that now is the perfect time to see Grace Vineyards.

We also thought those awaiting your wedding day this summer would like to know that we have recently built a white arch and pathway at the guest entrance. Pay us a visit if you need a little inspiration for your wedding day decorations.

2011 Wedding Highlight, Breanna and Alex

To continue looking back at the highlights of our 2011 wedding season, we have to mention Breanna and Alex’s wedding…

Breanna and Alex were a cute and spunky couple that really put a signature on their day here at Grace Vineyards. Alex coming from Australia and Breanna being a U.S. native, the two of them had done a fair share of traveling. Instead of numbering the dinning room tables, they showed their love of travel by naming each table after a place they had travelled together. The diversity of accents of the wedding party and guests created a melting pot of cultures. These cultures came together and everyone seemed to have a fabulous time on this gorgeous day. Their wedding was fun for us to host and our staff had a great time as well.

2011 Wedding Highlights

Yes, it is official, our 2011 wedding season at Grace Vineyards has come to a smooth end. This year was full of moments that we are so happy that we had the chance to take part in. Looking back through our wedding memories, thank you cards, and wedding photos, we wanted to touch on some of the highlights of the season.

The first memories to share, come from Melissa and John’s wedding back in July. They decided on a Scottish influenced wedding to express their heritage. The gentlemen wore kilts and the day was complete with a piper on the bag pipes welcoming the guests before the ceremony. The decorations were simplistic yet, promoted the beauty of the landscape.

It’s Picnic time!

At Grace Vineyards we see so many ways of decoration that changes with each couple at every wedding. Some couples dress up the gazebo with elegant florals or others create center pieces using branches with hanging crystals and some decorate with burlap table runners for that all country feel. One couple, who’s day we were a part of had such a unique and fun theme I just had to feature them. For Stacie and Todd’s wedding it was picnic day at Grace Vineyards. The youthful theme was complete with picnic blankets and fun activities for all the kids. Photographer, Justine Belson, captured the joy of the day in her images. Here are just some of my favorites.

Sac Bride Photo Shoot

During our grand opening 3 years ago at Grace Vineyards we had a beautiful wedding photo shoot for Sacramento Bride magazine. I was the model bride for the day and I had so much fun pretending that it was my wedding day. Andrea with Andrea’s Images was our fun and spunky photographer for the shoot. I wanted take a look back today and share some of those images.

Carolyn and Andrew

Carolyn and Andrew’s wedding was such a treat to take part in. The day was filled with many smiling faces and an overall youthful fun ambiance. During their memorable ceremony, the couple took turns washing each other’s feet in a religious symbolic act of showing that they would always love and support each other. For dinner, the couple and their guests enjoyed an Italian pasta bar with penne in a cream or bolognaise sauce and delicious meat and vegetarian lasagnas. The festivities moved to the toast at which time cute and humorously embarrassing stories were shared by close friends and family. As the day turned to night, the lights of the tent along with candles that had been placed poolside sweetly glowed creating a romantic mood as the lovebirds danced the night away.

Vikki and Bryan

After we experienced a couple weeks of dreaded rain clouds, Vikki and Bryan’s day at Grace Vineyards was welcomed with clear blue and sunny skies. It was a perfect day that began with Vikki’s ladies relaxing in our bridal suite sipping sweet champagne. The ceremony arc was laced with fresh greenery and the cake was dressed royally in white and deep purple roses. After exchanging vows, the couple headed off for photos while their guests enjoyed our wines and hor d’oeuvres. For their lovely dinner, Vikki and Bryan chose the Gourmet Buffet complete with Prime Rib, Champagne Chicken, Steamed Vegetables, and Roasted Potatoes. The night smoothly came to a close with lots of dancing and adlibbed karaoke.
